Brown Sugar Baked Beans

Prep: 20 min – Bake: 1 hr 30 min

4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 (21-ounce) cans pork and beans
2 tablespoons country-style Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Heat oven to 325°F. Cook bacon over medium-high heat in 10-inch skillet, stirring occasionally, until bacon is browned (4 to 6 minutes). Place bacon on paper towel; drain.

Stir together bacon and all remaining ingredients in large bowl. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Bake, stirring occasionally, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until slightly thickened.

Microwave Directions: Microwave bacon in 2-quart casserole on HIGH, stirring after half the time, until browned (3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes). Place bacon on paper towel, drain. Drain off fat. Stir together bacon and all remaining ingredients in same casserole. Cover with waxed paper; microwave on HIGH, stirring after half the time, until mixture comes to a full boil (7 to 10 minutes). Reduce power to MEDIUM (50% power); microwave, stirring after half the time, until flavors are blended and mixture is slightly thickened (20 to 25 minutes).
