E-Z Street Gumbo

1 Step Seasoning: Jambalaya makes this colorful stovetop dish as easy as 1-2-3.

Prep: 5 min – Cook: 16 min

1 pound combination sliced smoked sausage and cooked shrimp
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes, undrained
2 tablespoons McCormick® 1 Step Seasoning: Cajun
1 box (10 ounces) thawed mixed vegetables (about 2 cups)

1. Brown sausage in lightly oiled nonstick skillet 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, 1 Step and vegetables. Cover and cook over medium heat 10 minutes.

2. Stir in shrimp. Heat just until shrimp are hot, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve with rice.

Makes 4 (1 cup) servings

Variation: To vary this Cajun specialty, sauté about 1 cup total of chopped onion, celery and bell pepper with the sausage.

Variation: Substitute chicken or beef cubes for sausage. Add okra for authenticity.
