Italian Chicken

No one needs to know that this authentic-tasting Italian dish only took you 15 minutes to get ready for your slow cooker. You can take all of the credit, but let your slow cooker do most of the work.

Prep: 15 min – Cook: 3-4 hours on HIGH, 7-8 hours on LOW

3 pounds chicken parts, such as legs, breasts, thighs; skin removed
1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon McCormick® Season-All® Seasoned Salt
1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Italian Seasoning
1 package McCormick® Italian-Style Spaghetti Sauce Mix
1 cup dry white wine
4 cups sliced zucchini and/or yellow squash, sliced about 1/2 inch thick
hot cooked pasta, if desired

1. Rub chicken with garlic, Season-All and pepper. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 2 minutes, browning on all sides.

2. Add chicken, Italian seasoning, spaghetti sauce mix and wine to a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours, or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours.

 

3. Add squash during last hour of cooking. Serve with hot cooked pasta, if desired.
